Why protect a caravan interior?

A caravan interior lives a hard life in a small space. Food and drinks get spilled on the dinette, sunscreen and dirt end up on cushions and bedding, muddy feet cross the carpet and the shower gets used every day on a long trip. Between trips, the van sits closed up in the sun, which fades fabrics and curtains.

Interior protection forms an invisible barrier on fabrics and hard surfaces, so spills bead up instead of soaking in, stains don't set as easily and cleaning takes a wipe rather than a scrub.

How we do it

• The interior is vacuumed and cleaned, including under cushions and in the shower
• Surfaces are checked so the right protection goes on each material
• Fabrics, carpets and curtains are treated where suitable
• Hard surfaces such as benchtops, splashbacks and shower screens are protected
• Everything is left to cure before the van is used

The work is done at your home or in your storage yard, as long as there's power nearby and we can get into the van.

Best time to protect the interior

The best time is when the van is new or freshly cleaned, before stains have a chance to set. Many owners protect the inside and outside together soon after picking up a new van. See new caravan paint protection.
