Caravan and motorhome protection in the Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains are a favourite starting point for trips west over the Great Western Highway, and plenty of locals keep a van at home. Mountain conditions are different from the rest of Sydney, though, and they're tough on a caravan's finish.

Up top, from Lawson to Mount Victoria, it's cooler, wetter and often misty, so vans stay damp for longer. That encourages mould and mildew on seals, awnings and the roof, and lets black streaks set in. Gum trees drop leaves, bark and sap, and many vans sit under them on sloping bush blocks. Lower down, from Glenbrook to Springwood, summer sun adds UV damage to the mix.

We come up the mountains to work at your home or storage yard. The van needs to be on reasonably level ground with water and power nearby. A coated van sheds water, grime and leaf stains much more easily, which matters in a damp climate.
